Child Sexual Abuse: A Public Health Perspective Symposium
All Day

Registration is now open!

Please join us Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Moore Center’s fifth annual symposium, Child Sexual Abuse: A Public Health Perspective, at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Sheldon Hall (W1214).

Speakers this year will focus on policies that affect children with problem sexual behaviors and highlight child sexual abuse prevention research that targets school-age children.

  • Featured Speakers: This year we are pleased to welcome Johns Hopkins University President Ronald Daniels and Patrick McCarthy, president and chief executive officer of the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
  • Free Documentary Screening: Untouchable” is a documentary that “interweaves intimate portraits of men and women who have been branded sex offenders with the heartbreaking stories of those who have suffered sexual abuse.” Director David Feige will join our panel for a discussion about the film. Watch the trailer.
  • Lunch and Learn: Please join us for a luncheon and talk by Moore Center graduate student Geoff Kahn. Catered lunch is $10.
  • Child Maltreatment Student Poster Session: Poster presentations on child maltreatment prevention will be presented by students. To submit a proposal, please click here.

As always, the symposium is free and open to the public, however, registration is required. Please forward this email to anyone who might be interested in attending. We hope to see you there.
